Miguel A. Garcia received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in computer science from Polytechnic University of Catalonia, Barcelona, Spain, in 1989, 1991, and 1996, respectively. He joined the Department of Software at Polytechnic
University of Catalonia in 1996 as an Assistant Professor. From 1997 to 2006, he was with the Department of Computer Science and Mathematics at Rovira
i Virgili University, Tarragona, Spain, where he was the Head of Intelligent Robotics and Computer Vision Group. In 2006, he joined the Department of Informatics Engineering at Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain, and in 2010 the Department of Electronic and Communications Technology, at Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain, where he is currently Associate Professor and member of the Video Processing and Understanding Lab. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, 3-D modeling, and mobile robotics.
