Computer Scientist

Víctor Fernández-Carbajales Cañete received the M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering ("Ingeniero en Informatica" degree) in 2004 (2000-2004) and the Advance Study Diploma in 2006 both at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain). In 2004 he joined Video Processing and Understanding Lab (VPU Lab) at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Since 2004 he is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Miguel Ángel García.

His research interests are focused in the analysis of video sequences for the video surveillance (moving object extraction, object tracking and recognition, event detection…), and the using of the visual attention in this environment.
